Before You Register

Go by your child's actual age. Ages 3 to 7 focuses on games, instincts, and simple escapes. Ages 8 to 12 introduces real physical technique and predator tactics. Ages 13 to 17 covers physical defence, de-escalation, online threats, and sexual assault defence. If your child sits on a boundary, contact us and we will advise.
No. These courses are built for every child regardless of size, strength, or athletic ability. Grandmaster Azad has taught over 20,000 students of all capabilities. The techniques rely on leverage, timing, and awareness rather than physical power.
The opposite. Children who feel capable become calmer and more confident, not more confrontational. The teen course explicitly teaches de-escalation and avoiding physical conflict as the preferred outcome. Physical skills are a last resort, and children are taught that clearly.
Online is self-paced and repeatable, ideal for learning the material thoroughly and revisiting it. In-person gives real time correction from an instructor, which matters for physical technique. Live Zoom sits between the two. Many families do online first, then attend an in-person session to refine what they learned.
Yes, and we strongly encourage it. Parents who know the material can reinforce it at home, practise with their children, and recognise when something needs revisiting. For younger age groups parent participation is essential.
Yes. Physical Self-Defense for both age brackets is included in the Complete Protection Plan and Family Elite Plan, alongside every other CAPE program. If you are considering more than one course, a plan is usually far better value.
