The Program

More Than Self-Defence. A Survival Toolkit.

United States Department of Justice statistics reveal that thousands of abductions occur annually. That urgency is exactly why KATS exists.

KATS empowers your children with practical, effective physical skills to stand tall and confident even when faced with real danger. Created by Grandmaster Azad, a renowned child safety expert, it is the ultimate home based training system designed to safeguard your children against the unthinkable.

Age appropriate, easy to learn techniques teach them to evade and escape potential threats, developing the confidence and awareness to stay safe in any situation.

The best part: we team up together in a fun spirit and train your kids in personal safety step by step, so you get maximum results from this program.

Three Programs, One for Every Stage

A five year old and a sixteen year old face different threats and need different responses. KATS is built in three separate tracks so the content is always age appropriate, practical, and effective.

Track One
Elementary
Ages 5 to 8

Simple, memorable actions taught through play. At this age the goal is instinct, not technique.

  • Recognising when something feels wrong
  • Making noise and drawing attention
  • Basic escape from being lifted or grabbed
  • Running to a safe adult
  • Building body awareness through games
Track Two
Youth
Ages 9 to 12

The most vulnerable age group. Techniques become more deliberate and situational awareness sharpens.

  • Pattern recognition and pattern interruption
  • Escaping vehicle entry attempts
  • Breaking holds and restraints
  • Quick decision making under pressure
  • Building a strong sense of self awareness
Track Three
Teens
Ages 13 to 18

Girls between 12 and 17 are the most targeted demographic. This track is the most tactically advanced.

  • Advanced escape and evasion strategies
  • Pattern utilisation to create opportunity
  • Escaping confinement and restraint
  • Threat assessment in real environments
  • The physical skills to protect themselves

Built From 45 Years of Studying How Predators Operate

KATS techniques were developed over 45 years while studying the strategies predators use when kidnapping children. Analysing hundreds of real abduction cases allowed Grandmaster Azad to identify the most powerful and useful techniques for helping a child escape. This is not theory. Every method exists because a real situation demanded it.

Why This Matters

Child Abduction and Trafficking Is a Global Crisis

Every year millions of innocent children fall victim to abduction by predators and trafficking rings worldwide. These are the numbers.

8 Million
Children reported missing each year worldwide, according to the International Center for Missing and Exploited Children
800,000
Children reported missing annually in the United States alone, from infants up to age 17
2,300
Children disappear or are reported missing every single day in the United States
250,000
Children reported missing annually across Europe, one child every two minutes

The FBI reported over 521,705 people missing or abducted in 2021, with more than 337,195 of them underage children.

In 2020, over 300,000 children were taken from their families. Approximately 80% were aged 12 and over, with girls between 12 and 17 the most commonly targeted.

Sex trafficking grew into a $150 billion a year industry in 2020, with the United States and Western Europe at its epicentre, driven by financial affluence and demand.

Trafficking now rivals the global drug trade in profitability. Unlike drugs, which sell once, abducted children are exploited repeatedly over a period of 7 to 10 years.

Asia bears the brunt of global abductions for ransom, accounting for 43% of these incidents. Child abduction afflicts every nation regardless of development level.

The exact number of people trafficked into the United States each year remains unknown, as many cases go unreported and trafficking is deliberately covert and organised.

Common Questions

Before You Register

No. KATS is designed specifically for parents with no background in martial arts or self defence. Grandmaster Azad walks you through every technique step by step, and the drills are built so that you and your child learn them together. If you can follow a video, you can teach this.
Start with the track that matches their current age. Ages 5 to 8, 9 to 12, or 13 to 18. If your child is on the edge of two brackets, choose based on their physical size and maturity rather than the number. All three tracks are included, so you can move up as they grow.
No. The training is deliberately delivered in a fun, game based spirit, especially for younger children. Grandmaster Azad has taught this material to over 21,000 children across five decades. Parents consistently report their children come away feeling more capable and confident, not more afraid.
A living room or garden is plenty. Nothing in KATS requires equipment, mats, or a large area. Every technique is designed to work in the real environments where abductions actually happen, which are rarely spacious.
Grandmaster Azad recommends it. Tigers vs. Rabbits builds the mental and emotional foundation, teaching children to recognise danger and turn vulnerabilities into strengths. KATS then adds the physical skills on top. Both are included together in the Complete Protection plan.
Yes. One registration covers your entire household, and because all three age tracks are included you can train siblings of different ages and revisit the material as younger children grow into the next bracket.
Yes. KATS is included in both the Complete Protection plan and the Family Elite plan, alongside the other CAPE programs. If you are considering more than one course, a plan works out significantly better value.
